In Kenya, New-Rule Senior Advisor Gail Ervin recently catalyzed a new team of pastoralist peacebuilders and local CSOs to implement the Mediators Beyond Borders (MBB) Warriors to Peace Guardians Initiative, funded by the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP). Dr. Ervin is co-leading a multinational team in training and developing a cadre of indigenous peace guardians to establish and sustain peace in a remote area of Baringo County, based in a uniquely pastoralist design. She further serves as the M&E manager in empowering indigenous partners as part of the field-testing of USIP’s Impact Tools in a remote conflict setting.
